Craig Berry
BAppSc(Physical Education), Diploma of Education
Craig Berry is an experienced business leader, coach and facilitator with more than 30 years’ experience building high-performing teams, developing leaders and helping people achieve their potential. His career spans education, healthcare and medical technology, where he has held senior leadership roles with organisations including AstraZeneca, Stryker, Medtronic, Verathon Medical and Micro-Tech Endoscopy.
Craig’s career began as a secondary school teacher, giving him an early appreciation of the importance of understanding how people learn, what motivates them and how the right environment can unlock individual potential. He subsequently moved into business leadership, where his passion for developing people became a central part of his approach to leading successful organisations.
Across his leadership career, Craig has recruited, coached and developed sales and leadership teams across Australia and New Zealand. He has a particular interest in helping organisations identify the right talent, build engaged teams and develop leaders who can create a positive and high-performing culture.
Craig's successful career has reinforced a belief that engagement and performance are not competing priorities — when people feel valued, supported and accountable, performance follows.
Craig is an accredited leader of the Challenger Sales program and has extensive experience in coaching, facilitation, sales effectiveness, leadership development and behavioural profiling. He has also undertaken Gallup Strengths-based development and a range of leadership, negotiation, communication and behavioural programs.
His coaching style is practical, challenging and highly personalised. Craig works with individuals to understand their strengths, identify opportunities for growth and turn insight into practical action. He also works with organisations to strengthen recruitment and selection, ensuring that the people they bring into their teams have both the capability and the cultural alignment to succeed.
Through Engaged Consulting, Craig combines his experience as an educator, executive leader, coach and recruiter to help organisations attract the right people, engage their teams and develop leaders who bring out the best in others.
He believes great organisations are built by great people — and that getting the right people into the right roles, then giving them the coaching, clarity and support to succeed, is one of the most powerful investments an organisation can make.
